What you can sometimes find that if someone is aiming to give 100% all the time, then their progress can suffer due to 'trying to hard'. That is the state of mind where the person is thinking too much consciously. SOmetimes you have to let go a little and allow our subconscious minds to get us 'into the flow'. Very useful article though - some good points raised.

Stuart,

You have good NLP blog with great articles in it like this one.

About 100%. In my opinion, we should not give our 100% for each of our goals and keep some of % for the future. There must be limitations for realizing of our goals.

Thanks,
Orxan

Hey Steve,

Thanks for visiting.

NLP in its purest form will be as Bandler and Grinder started which is the modeling methodology. Modeling language, attitude, success, leadership, and so on.

So I presume you'd know a little about that.

NLP has different applications, which carry an arsenal of techniques. Hence, Bandler's definition that "NLP is an attitude and a methodology that leaves a trail of applications and techniques".

Stuart,

Great post. As you said in the beginning, it's not an NLP strategy per se. You're crossing into the gray area that Anthony Robbins chose to occupy.

While not an NLP strategy, it's a crucial life strategy.

BTW, where does NLP begin and where does it end? :)

Rock on,

Steve
